Privacy Policy

SMS Forwarder sends new SMS messages from your Android phone to email or Telegram destinations you choose. This policy explains exactly what is processed and why.

SMS access and message handling

• The app requests Receive SMS permission only after you enable forwarding.
• The app processes new incoming SMS. It does not read your existing SMS history.
• Pending messages are encrypted in the app’s private storage on your phone.
• Message text and sender information are transmitted over HTTPS only when forwarding is enabled.
• Our server processes message content only long enough to deliver it to your selected email or Telegram destination. It does not retain SMS content or verification codes after that delivery attempt.
• Your selected email provider or Telegram receives the forwarded content because you instructed the app to send it there.

Information we retain

To operate the service, prevent abuse, restore connections, and show delivery limits, we retain:

• a random device identifier and a securely hashed authentication token;
• your verified destination email address;
• your Telegram destination identifier when connected;
• connection dates, hourly/daily delivery counts, and delivery timestamps without SMS text;
• problem reports you deliberately submit, together with app version, Android version, and phone model.

Advertising and purchases

The app uses Google Mobile Ads. Ads never receive SMS content, sender details, forwarding destinations, verification codes, or the local delivery log. The app requests non-personalized ads and uses Google’s consent tools where required. Google may process device, advertising, interaction, and diagnostic data under Google’s Privacy Policy.

Your controls

• Pause all forwarding with one switch.
• Enable or disable email and Telegram separately.
• Verification-code forwarding is off by default.
• Clear the visible local activity list at any time.
• Review or change advertising privacy choices when available.
• Request deletion of your server-side connection data by using Report a problem in the app or emailing us.

Retention and security

Connection and usage records are retained while the device remains registered or as needed for security, accounting, abuse prevention, and legal obligations. We process verified deletion requests within 30 days unless retention is legally required. We use HTTPS, signed device requests, encrypted device secrets, restricted administration, rate limits, and access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

SMS Forwarder is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used to monitor another person without their knowledge and lawful consent.
